Brite Monthly – Preschool: February 2026

This Month’s Biblical Theme Is: Jesus is Lord of all

Jesus is Lord of all—over rules, nature, people and even time itself. Jesus prioritized people over societal expectations, met earthly needs and broke through household tasks to draw people towards Himself. Alongside His humanity, Jesus also revealed His true divine nature on the mountaintop proving that we can trust Him as our Savior.

Monthly Memory Verse: At the name of Jesus every knee should bow. (Philippians 2:10)

Big Question: Who has power over all things? Jesus does!

Jesus Heals on the Sabbath (Matthew 12:1–14)

The Pharisees were outraged when Jesus healed a man on the Sabbath because it defied the strict rules they had put in place. Jesus revealed that He is Lord of all and taught that following rules isn’t enough to be right with God.

Brite Idea: Jesus is Lord of all

The Feeding of the 5,000 (John 6:1–15)

Jesus fed a large crowd with only five loaves and two fish. Everyone ate their fill—with twelve baskets of leftovers remaining. Amazed by the miracle, the crowd recognized Jesus as the prophet they had been waiting for.

Brite Idea: Jesus provides.

The Transfiguration (Mark 9:2–13; Luke 9:28–36)

Jesus awoke the disciples by revealing His true glory on a mountaintop. Moses and Elijah appeared and spoke with Jesus about what was to come. The voice of God came down and declared Jesus was His Son.

Brite Idea: Jesus reveals God’s glory.

Mary and Martha (Luke 10:38–42)

Martha was busy with chores while Mary sat at Jesus’ feet. Martha became frustrated and asked Jesus to tell Mary to help her. Jesus told Martha that she was distracted by many things, but only one thing truly mattered—spending time with Him.

Brite Idea: Jesus wants a relationship with us.

This Month’s Unit Title Is: Extraordinary!

Like a good science experiment, Jesus is truly extraordinary—nothing and no one in this world compares to Him! He often surprises us in unexpected ways, showing up in moments we least expect with love, power and grace that go beyond anything we’ve ever known. His words, miracles and compassion set Him apart from everyone else. Jesus isn’t just extraordinary in what He does—He invites us into an extraordinary relationship with Him, one filled with purpose, hope and unmatched love. Preschool Perspectives

This Month’s Leader Training Topic Is: Time Management

Success in preschool ministry starts with preparation. When you’re ready with materials, transitions and have activities planned, kids feel secure and respond by listening and engaging. When interruptions happen, respond with patience and grace, just like Jesus did. Finally, keep your group moving with short, engaging segments to maintain kids’ attention. With thoughtful preparation, you can create an environment where kids thrive!

Throughout the month, we’ll explore the following:

Week 1 – Prepare to Win

Week 2 – When Service Goes Late

Week 3 – Interruptions

Week 4 – Plan to Keep Moving

Teaching Kids about the Gospel:

The Gospel is the good news. God wants everyone, even preschoolers, to know this good news.

Here’s the Gospel in four main words: God, Us, Jesus, Trust.

God

God is a loving God who is all-powerful and great. He knows and sees everything, and rules over everything. God created all people in His image, and we are special to Him.

Us

But we have sinned, and our sin separates us from God. What is sin? Sin is anything we think, say or do that disobeys God.

Jesus

God loves us so much, He sent His one and only Son, Jesus. Jesus came to save us by dying on the cross for our sins. Jesus rose again three days later and is alive!

Trust

God gives salvation, rescuing us from our sin, to everyone who places their trust in Jesus as their Savior. What is trust? It means that we rely on what Jesus did.
